Description
Nature is full of surprises and unique in structures and so anything natural is pledged to be unparalleled. Imagine the most traditional, most natural green tea presented to you – well, wouldnt it be a paradise for your palate? That is the magic of our Vitana Orthodox tea, which derives its name from Sanskrit word for thoughtfulness. Garnered from the highlands of Arunachal Pradesh, these teas are lodged in the eastern most part of the country on the foothills of the Himalayas overlooking the snow clad peaks which look down on the mighty Bharamaputra river. This is also the land of Idu Mishmi and Adi Padum tribe, who being the adroit of tea plantations used the methods of Vrikshayurveda (ancient Indian science of Agriculture), and produced teas which are peerless. Vrikshayurveda methods bring out the best flavour and aroma of the leaves, and the end products are nothing less than heavenly. Our Tea Leaves are plucked at the crack of dawn and then withered naturally in thatch and bamboo huts. Then the leaves are rolled in 16 mini rollers without applying any weight. The leaves get laced with the juices under their own weight, in the well of the rolling table. This avoids rupturing of leaf cells. Then we ferment or oxidise the leaves for a couple of hours. Then the fermented teas are dried at 80-85C very slowly in tray dryers. Enjoy your experience of a distinctive taste, personality and place in every cup, and you wouldnt be hesitant in calling it the Elixir you were always looking for.
