Encompassing a plethora of health benefits, Green Tea originated in China, but is the beverage of choice of Asia. Fresh tea leaves are heated to a temperature high enough to prevent browning of leaves, which gives them their characteristic colour. Curling the leaves by hand on the side of the wok gives it different flavours and aromas. Today, Green Tea has become the raw material for extracts used in various beverages, dietary supplements, and cosmetic items. A hot comforting beverage made from an exotic blend of green tea, spices and almonds, which traditionally hails from Kashmir. Kahwa is usually served to guests or as part of a celebration dinner, and saffron is added to the Kahwa for special visitors. It is often served in tiny, shallow cups.
