Description
Purayati Omega supplements consist of a combination of Omega 3 (168 mg), Omega 6 (280 mg) and Omega 9 (220 mg). All these three forms are important dietary fats required by the body. Omega 3 are polyunsaturated (poly = many and unsaturated = double bonds) fats not synthesized by the body. Since they are not naturally present in the body, hence the dependency on it from diets or external supplementation is essential. The Omega 3 compound is again of different types based on the differences in the chemical structures. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are the two kinds of Omega 3 fatty acids mainly found in fish. However, Purayatis Omega Supplements consist of Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA), the Omega 3 fatty acids mainly found in vegetable oils, nuts, flax seeds, and leafy vegetables. Omega 6, which is similarly to Omega 3 is also a polyunsaturated fat and sourced externally for the body. The most common format of this Omega 6 is Linoleic Acid which when further converted becomes arachidonic acid (ARA) which is used to produce eicosanoids. These eicosanoids are important chemicals for our immune system. Lastly, Omega 9 is a monosaturated fat and scientifically speaking may not be considered as essential such as Omega 3 and Omega 6. However, studies have proven that humans consuming monounsaturated fats lead to reduced incidences of inflammation, better insulin sensitivity and reduce the formation of bad cholesterol”. Oleic Acid is the most common form of Omega 9. Omega 3-6-9 is extracted from Flax seed and Black seed oil.
