Description
A sweet crystalline or powdered substance, white when pure, consisting of sucrose obtained mainly from sugarcane and sugar beets and used in many foods, drinks, and medicines to improve their taste. It is uniform white, free flowing crystalline sugar, free from discolouration or apparent extraneous matter. White sugar is carbohydrate and Vitamin B2 rich food which provides energy, lowers blood pressure, brain function, treat depression and heal wounds.
