Description

House Finch and phoebes prefer open but protected nest sites rather than fully enclosed nest boxes. Set up this nesting shelf under the eaves of a building and the birds will have a safe spot protected by the overhang in which to raise their young. Mount this shelf on the side of a fence, post or shed to attract birds such as Robins. They like to construct a nest out of mud and grass on a platform, and the roof will offer some weather protection.
