How does this work? The box has two partitions. The upper portion contains calcium chloride balls and the lower partition is empty for collection of water formed from condensed moisture which is absorbed by this unit. Calcium chloride is a well known harmless desiccant. It attracts water molecules from its surroundings and converts it into liquid water, dissolving itself in the process. The box has an Aluminium foil seal on top, which needs to be broken when you are ready to deploy it at your required place. You will be amazed to see the lower partition gradually filling with water. Its all the moisture, which would have otherwise caused damp , fungus and odour.
